You are given a new title when you trust Jesus to forgive your sins. You are now Saint _______! What a significant name change. What a great new identity! Webster’s 1828 Dictionary defines a saint as “A person sanctified; a holy or godly person; one eminent for piety and virtue.” Now that you are a saint, what does this mean? It means that you are now set apart for God’s particular purposes. God has a beautiful plan for your life. But you must learn how God has designed you for His mission and His kingdom. This is your SHAPE: Spiritual gifts, heart passion, abilities, personality, and experiences. You are unique. There is only one of you. As such, you must discern and obey God’s call on your life. God has prepared good works for you to walk in them, Saint! Of course, God’s call is for you individually, but also for His church. Our corporate calling is to glorify God by making and growing more followers of Jesus. This is done in the context of where you live, work, play, and who you are around. The community of faith plays a crucial role in you as a saint.
