If there was ever anyone in the history of the world who loved sleep, it would be me. Ever since I was in high school, I could fall asleep anywhere and anytime. When I got out of the military, I was told I would have a lot of trouble sleeping in because my body was conditioned to waking up at 4:30 or 5 everyday. Nope. I slept till 8 the first day.
Now that most of us are working from home, it would be easy to sleep all the time. And while I think rest is important, and we should definitely be taking more naps, this isn’t the time to get lazy.
Proverbs 24:33-34: “A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest—and poverty will come on you like a thief and scarcity like an armed man.”
How are you adjusting your routines to still work hard while getting rest? Are you finding yourself becoming a sluggard? There is still a lot to do, let’s get at it!
