Easter is my favorite day of the year! When I asked C this morning what today was, she loudly proclaimed Easter. I asked her what we celebrate today, and she said God and chocolate. What a cutie. The reason this day is my favorite is that it is the day we are set free from the grip of death. When Christ left the tomb, He provided hope for you and I. Hope that we will live forever. Even though our physical bodies may die, we live! It isn’t just that Jesus rose from the grave, but that He said He would. This means that God’s Word is real, and we can have hope that God is a promise keeper. Resurrection Sunday is a beautiful testimony to the power and faithfulness of God.
Matthew 28:6a: “He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead, just as he said would happen.”
We believe Jesus, the eternal God, became man, died, and rose again for sinful mankind. Therefore, we will trust Him and take this good news to the world.
Do you believe it? Do you trust Jesus? Why are you waiting?
