MWM: No Fear

What are you afraid of? I hate snakes: dead snakes, live snakes, snake skins (does that mean the snake is naked?), and sticks that look like snakes. I run. I don’t like mice either. As I was starting to type this, I saw something move by foot and thought it was a mouse. I ended up on my chair. It turns out it was a moth. If I’m honest, I’m also a little bit fearful of sharing my faith with others. Strange to hear a pastor admit that. Sure, it is easy to talk about the majesty and worth of God from a keyboard, but in person…? The root of my fear is rejection. I know if people say no to Jesus, it isn’t me they are rejecting. However, what if my words drove them away from Jesus? What if I had just said something differently? I read today’s verse, and it gives me hope and challenges me to continue to declare the eternal truths of the Bible. Lord, provide me with boldness!

Philippians 1:14: “And because of my imprisonment, most of the believers here have gained confidence and boldly speak God’s message without fear.”
