Do you have any foxhole friends? These are people that always have your back. They will be there in an instant if you ask. If they can’t, they will find a way to make sure you are okay. They are willing to go to battle with and for you. These are essential friends to have. Of course, you can’t have a foxhole friend if you aren’t willing to be one also. Real friends speak the truth in love and grace; they will call you out on your crap and challenge and admonish you if you need it. They will also be your biggest cheerleaders. They know you are struggling before you do. They also pray for you. Most importantly, a genuine foxhole friend points you to Jesus. If you don’t have one, ask God to send one your way.
Philippians 1:30: “We are in this struggle together. You have seen my struggle in the past, and you know that I am still in the midst of it.”
