Have you ever had to work with someone you didn’t agree with? Perhaps you didn’t see eye-to-eye with them. When evaluating people for a job, I was encouraged to look at calling, character, competence, and compatibility. Paul addresses the last one in Philippians 2. He is outlining the character qualities of a Christ-follower. When people are working together to bring glory to God through accomplishing His mission, they must be unified. You don’t want one person going in one direction and the others going differently. Aligning expectations and clear communication are crucial to progress. Genuine care and concern for one another also helps.
Philippians 2:2: “Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose.”
