Have you ever met those people that only talk about themselves? I sat down with some folks once and spent three hours with them. Not once did they ask about my life or what was going on. But I learned about their brother’s dead cat and their sister’s best friend’s wallpaper. Seriously. People like to talk about themselves and their lives. We should be excellent listeners, but listening goes both ways. Another attitude of a Christ-follower is a genuine interest in others. Answer questions but learn how to ask the right questions too. Put others ahead of yourself.
Philippians 2:4: “Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.”
