Garbage in, garbage out. This was taught to me at a very young age. Whatever I let into my mind influences my heart and my hands. It is something we are trying to teach our daughters as well. Warren Wiersbe said, “Outlook determines outcome.” If our outlook is selfish, then our actions will be divisive and destructive. This happens because, in our selfishness, we fail to demonstrate the attitude of Christ, which was selfless and looked out for the needs of others. However, if we approach life with humility and service, our actions will reflect truth, justice, mercy, grace, and sacrifice. That is the mind of Christ. May we adopt this attitude.
Philippians 2:5: “You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.”
