God is a pathfinder

Thankful for God’s presence and communication in my life. He definitely feels like a Father the way He lovingly nudges me in the right direction. The way He is patient with me, waiting for my heart to soften, and He somehow links my prayer life with what I need: His will, gently drawing me to Himself. It’s a beautiful experience getting to know Him, growing in relationship with Him, learning to trust Him, it’s life-altering. The more I get to know Him over my life, the more apparent it is that He is real and that His perspective is key and spot on.

I love how I’ll be thinking about something, and then I’ll read about it in my Bible and also experience biblical things He’s taught me in my day to day life. It makes me smile. He’s here, present with me, living in my moments, instructing me, guiding me, loving me, caring about where I am, and where He wants to take me. He is a good Father, and I’m so thankful to be able to live life with Him.

When I look at what my life could have been, from the path I was on when I was younger, and how He intervened and continues to guide and direct since I’ve trusted Him, receive from Him. I see He’s the difference and why I’m living an amazing life now.

Thank you, God, for graciously drawing me to You initially and continually. I pray I never take it for granted and always remember that what I have is because of You, Your gracious gifts, kindness, and mercy toward me. Thank you for never forsaking or giving up on me and always helping me become the person You created me to be. Even if I had everything I think I needed, I’d still be bankrupt in every way without You.

“Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the infinite value of knowing Christ Jesus, my Lord. For his sake, I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I could gain Christ and become one with him. I no longer count on my own righteousness through obeying the law; rather, I become righteous through faith in Christ. For God’s way of making us right with himself depends on faith.” -Philippians 3:8-9 NLT

“My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not treat the grace of God as meaningless. For if keeping the law could make us right with God, then there was no need for Christ to die.” -Galatians 2:20-21 NLT

“Christ made us right with God; he made us pure and holy, and he freed us from sin. Therefore, as the Scriptures say, ‘If you want to boast, boast only about the Lord.’” -1 Corinthians 1:30-31 NLT
