My car is getting older, and it is beginning to show the wear and tear of over 240,000 miles of adventures. A while back, we hit a curb and popped a tire. When we got the tires replaced, they asked us if we wanted an alignment too. If we didn’t get an alignment, there was a chance the wheels would be pulling in different directions, and this would cause all sorts of problems, not to mention it would make it difficult to go in a straight line. Driving would be a challenge. Likewise, when our life gets out of alignment, it is difficult. If we live for our glory, look to the world to define what is right and wrong, or have placed something or someone in the #1 spot in our hearts, we are out of alignment. Our entire life should be devoted to 24/7/365 worship of God. Everything we do must bring glory to Him and Him alone. Failure to do so is idolatry. How will you take the mundane and the extraordinary events of life and use them to shine a light on Christ?
1 Corinthians 10:31: “So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”
