There is a myriad of things you don’t think about until you have kids. At the top of the list is safety. I would never have thought about anchoring dressers and bookshelves to walls before kids. But kids climb and pull and destroy. To keep these essential pieces of furniture upright, they had to be anchored to the wall. Likewise, our lives should be anchored to the Word of God. We read, study, and meditate on the Word, leading to an upright and righteous life. Then, our prayers are a delight to the Lord. What joy!
Proverbs 15:8: “The Lord detests the sacrifice of the wicked, but he delights in the prayers of the upright.”
