Pray31 – Day 9: Daniel 6:10

The Bible character Daniel is one of my heroes. He works for a pagan king that defies the one true God by demanding people worship the king alone. The king even has a statue erected in his honor. Daniel is described as faithful, responsible, and completely trustworthy (6:4). He acted with integrity in discharging his duties. May that be true of us! The only “fault” that Daniel’s enemies could find was his devotion to God. May that be true of us as well! As you spend time in prayer today, ask God to give you the reputation of Daniel. Ask God to help you be such a person of faith that everyone knows you are a follower of Christ and will do anything to worship Him.

Daniel 6:10: “But when Daniel learned that the law had been signed, he went home and knelt down as usual in his upstairs room, with its windows open toward Jerusalem. He prayed three times a day, just as he had always done, giving thanks to his God.”

  1. Ya, I also like the way Daniel was regimented in his prayers, taking time out at the same times each day.
