“The creative world runs on photoshop” is the tagline for the computer program from Adobe that helps artists perfect their creations. It allows you to change any image and design in almost unlimited ways. When you and I see a photo in a magazine or on the web, more than likely, it has had numerous filters placed over the original. We rarely see #nofilter posts out there. Photoshop is just one of many programs that do this. Social media allows you to project whatever image you want the world to see. It is no wonder our hearts cry out for authentic relationships. When you meet someone that has spent countless hours grooming their outside appearance (more than just their looks), you can see through it right away. We all know nobody is perfect, so why try to hide your flaws and foibles. Be honest. Be real. Be open to constructive criticism. Ask for prayer. Admit your struggles. Confess your doubts. This world is starving for the real you.
Matthew 23:28: “Outwardly you look like righteous people, but inwardly your hearts are filled with hypocrisy and lawlessness.”
