What is Truth?

One of my favorite scenes in the Bible is when Jesus is standing before Pilate. Pilate asks Jesus about whether or not Jesus is a king and trying to decide Jesus’ fate. Towards the end, Jesus admits to being THE King and then makes the statement that one of the main reasons He was born was to testify to the truth. Pilate then simply asks, “What is truth?” and then walks away. He doesn’t wait for an answer! Pilate doesn’t realize that he is standing before “THE Way, THE Truth, and THE Life.” Fortunately for us, we don’t need to know how Jesus would have answered that because we know the truth. Jesus is truth. His Word is true. His life, death, burial, resurrection, and return are all true. Knowing, believing, and following these truths will truly set us free! Don’t turn your back on truth; embrace the truth about Jesus, and you will be saved.

John 18:38: “‘What is truth?’” Pilate asked. Then he went out again to the people and told them, “‘He is not guilty of any crime…’”
