It’s November! During this month, I usually see a lot of social media posts about being thankful. Wasn’t there a challenge a few years ago to post something you are grateful for every day? Either my social “friends” aren’t thankful, this isn’t a thing anymore, or Christmas has finally taken over November. I think we should change the question from “What are you thankful for?” to “To whom are you thankful toward?” If someone believes in God, we are to thank Him for meeting our basic needs, providing above and beyond so we can celebrate life and bless others. If you don’t believe in God, who are you thanking? You see, God is so good, He is so great, I wouldn’t be here today without Him. I wouldn’t have an amazing wife. I wouldn’t have two wonderful daughters. I wouldn’t be pastoring a life-giving church. I wouldn’t be able to interact with hundreds of students a year. And I wouldn’t be able to help people get on a stress-free money plan through financial coaching. I am so thankful for what God is doing in my life. What about you? Who do you give thanks to? How can you proclaim the greatness and goodness of God to the world? Why not start today?
Psalm 105:1: “Give thanks to the LORD and proclaim his greatness. Let the whole world know what he has done.”
