Have you gained a greater appreciation for what truly matters over the past few months? I have. Priorities are being rearranged to include more time with family, healthier eating choices, reconnection with God through the spiritual disciplines, and intentional communication with others. As the world opens back up, we need to keep in mind the major shift that has taken place. There is a phrase in today’s verse, “so that you may…” which implies our understanding influences our behavior. It would be a shame to go right back to old routines that include fluff and non-important activities. However, this verse also encourages us to live pure and blameless lives. One of the new priorities we need to cling to is our relationship with Jesus. I hope and pray it has grown during this time. If not, start today! If you don’t know who Jesus is, check out this link.
Philippians 1:10: “For I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ’s return.”
