You can’t go it alone. You need other people. When someone helps you, they bear part of the burden. In this verse, Paul uses the words “partner,” “worked hard with me,” “worked along with,” and “co-workers.” He had others that would be his teammates. I used to play soccer, and it amazed me how you could take eleven people with entirely different skill sets, put them on the field together, and they would perform magnificently – as long as they each did their part. Chaos and losses mounted up when there was dysfunction. As we go through life, we need partners, and we need teammates to help us in our journey and who we can help in their journey. Don’t isolate yourself. Surround yourself with good teammates who are moving in the same direction as you.
Philippians 4:3: “And I ask you, my true partner, to help these two women, for they worked hard with me in telling others the Good News. They worked along with Clement and the rest of my co-workers, whose names are written in the Book of Life.”
